Some of the things for which I’m grateful this week. Going to see The Blue Note 7 this afternoon at orchestra hall with G. A great night at The Glock last night, $30 in tips and even though I was really tired and though I played “meh,” more people said thank you or commented on how much they enjoyed my playing than other nights. The swelling river threatening part of the Midwest seems to have lost some of its bite: The National Weather Service now says that the Red River at Fargo, N.D., is expected to remain below 41 feet and drop slowly in coming days.
