Iowa Court Removes Ban on Gay Marriage

-Iowa has become the first state in the Midwest to approve same-sex marriage. Early this morning, the Iowa Supreme Court unanimously decided that a 1998 law limiting marriage to a man and a woman was unconstitutional. Iowa does not have residency requirements for marriage, so the state may see a huge influx of same-sex couple seeking to tie the knot.
